This is a demo for the game Hopstep, a frogger-inspired game about jumping through endless procedurally generated areas.
The demo includes:- 1 playable character- - Tree frog- 1 area type- - Suburbs- 4 area variants- - Countryside- - City- - Waterway- - Prairie- 1 game mode- - Adventure: travel through the world in search of essence.
What essence you collect more of will determine the fate of you and the world.I am currently working on the full game at the moment.
I felt that it would be nice to release this demo so I dont have to rush the release.
Heres a couple of the things on the roadmap for the full release:- More area types/biomes- Multiple animal types for playable characters, including species variants- A challenge mode- An island that you can customize in the main menu- A biome editor thatll allow you to test and share a custom biome thatll be added in the list of areas that will spawn in the game- Fully complete endingsIf youre interested in keeping up with the development of the game, check out my youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@nandbolt) where I post devlogs of the game or follow me to get updated for when the full game launches.Controls:- Drag and let go anywhere to jump.
